Dollar Beerencibia
In honour of JPA's debut tonight, why not take a trip down memory lane to that Dollar Beer night at Cashman Field, during my "Batcher Party". Earlier that day (I drank a bottle of Chivas Regal and) John Buck hit 3 home runs ensuring that the Bellagio sportsbook kept the money that I bet on the Jays/under. After a handful of dollar beers, I made sure to remind JPA he'd have to step up his game, because "John Buck hit 3 home runs today". After Accardo walks the first batter but nonetheless saved the game, whilst JPA was signing autographs for fans we meekly/drunkly say "Good game JP!!". His response? "I heard you guys hootin' and hollerin' about Buck hitting 3 home runs."
Welcome to Toronto, JPA, where every night is $10.25 Beer Night.
FYI: This trip was at the end of April. JPA played 17 games in April, only 3 HRs. In the following 78 games? 28 HRs, or almost double the pace during April. Coincidence??!?
Bonus: Brett Wallace (Hamhocks) before my allegiance shifted to Tony Gose:
I'm surprised he can lift that cankle up so high. If I only had pictures of the 2 grounders he booted.

Vernon's New Song
I'm figuring that V-dub's gonna have to change his song selection this year. My suggestion (keeping in mind he needs no more than 30 seconds):
A deconstruction of his songs from last year is the next order of business, under the title: The Esoteric Vernon Wells. Stay tuned.
